The findings of the study demonstrated the efficacy and safety of the Ortholox® UHMWPE Sternal Cerclage Band System. Ortholox Bands can be safely used in patients at risk of sternal dehiscence, as demonstrated by the lack of a significant difference between it and Steel Wire, which is often used for sternal stability.
