Periprosthetic Support Plate System Basic Training was successfully completed.
Basic Plate-Screw and Periprosthetic Fracture Solutions Training, which we organised for the Portuguese Trauma team of MBA Surgical Empowerment, our distributor in Spain and Portugal, was held in Porto on 23 November 2023. The participants were first informed about the historical development of osteosynthesis, design types and biomechanics of bone screws and the intended use of bone plates. Then, the classification of periprosthetic fractures and the components of Ortholox Locking Periprosthetic Support Plate System developed by Ortolog for periprosthetic fractures were introduced. In the last part, answers to the questions that the participants may encounter during the demonstrations and surgeries, tips and tricks about the system were explained.
